In Sri Lanka there are 14 Free Tread Zones around the country and  about 250000 workers are earning their bread and butter on it . 80% of them are Women workers And most of them came from far away to find an employment. Our union called Free Tread Zones and General Services Employees Union  member of a National Labour Advisory Council (NACL)  which has a 25 years of heritage spread over the four main Zones of Katynayake , Biyagama , Koggalla . & Seethawaka and have a membership of around 16000 and the majority of its are women workers . we are the biggest union in the Free Tread Zone Sector and we make them aware to, organize , protest , and campaign to uplift the labor rights from last two decades not only the labour rights we always work as a team to establish the social dignity of the women workers and standing against the injustice and cruelty suffered by the poor women workers. read more...
